“Local is real. It is real people. It is your community and your neighbors.” For Jennifer Williamson, those words are the foundation beneath The Neighborhood Hive, the Sugar House market she created with her husband, Derek Williamson, and their friends and business partners, Tiffany Rainwater and Jed Matthews. Together, the four of them have built something that is part shop, part coffee bar, part event space, part business incubator, and part neighborhood living room - a place where more than sixty small businesses can find a home under one roof.

“I wanted Mochi Kids to be more than just a store. It’s a way to connect with families, to celebrate culture, and to give back to the community that supports us,” shares Amanda Stewart, the founder of Mochi Kids.

“When we opened the shop, I wanted it to feel different, " says Josh Wiitanen, General Manager of Oasis Games. “We want it to be a place where everyone feels at home - whether you're here for Magic cards or your first board game - somewhere where you don't just play; you belong.” Oasis Games is a gathering place that has transformed the experience of gaming into something truly communal. Opened in 2012 by Alex Sittner, an avid Magic: The Gathering player, Oasis Games was born from a vision shared by a small team with decades of passion for games and camaraderie.

“I’ve always loved small treasures—those little things that bring joy into our lives. Owning a store where I can curate and share those special finds with others has been a dream of mine since I was thirteen.”

I will be forever grateful.” When you walk into The Children’s Hour, you step into a world carefully curated by the heart and soul of Diane Etherington, a woman whose warmth and passion for children’s books has touched the lives of countless individuals for over four decades. My first encounter with Diane was nothing short of enchanting.
